Character Background and Description
Marvin is the shopkeeper of the Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, where he also resides. He is, for the most part, a kind old man with a friendly disposition; a natural storyteller and a true believer in magic. As a "Delver" his whole life, Marvin spent most of his childhood among the ruins of the past and in libraries, fantasizing about everything's purpose and how people used to live. He collects anything and everything, completely intrigued by objects that move and light up. He tells customers stories of how those from the past would use objects in his shop. Most of the time, it's pretty clear that he's falsifying these stories, though many people argue that he knows the truth. He is considered by some in town to be a little off by their standards, but friendly enough. Though Marvin is not a devoted man, he gives his faith to luck, chance, and his trusty deck of tarot cards. Marvin's health has been drastically decreasing in his old age -- especially after frequent visits to the End of Days Mausoleum -- and is on the hunt for a replacement for his shop.
